We make sure to use only the most durable fabrics for our uniforms
We at Uniform Specialist have carefully considered the fabrics that we use to manufacture our uniforms. Each one of our garments is made with a fabric that will provide comfort, flexibility and practicality to its wearer.
Polycotton is a fabric that consists of both cotton and polyester fibres. Some would say that this blend provides the wearer with the best of both worlds. Polyester provides elasticity, which makes the garment comfortable to wear and more durable, while cotton provides breathability. The polycotton that we use consists of 55% cotton and 45% polyester, or 65% polyester and 35% cotton. We manufacture polycotton garments in a range of colours, including orange, black, beige, pink, lime, red, and more.

We also manufacture Polycotton garments that are made from printed/designed fabrics. We have a selection of fabrics with different coloured patterns or stripes.
Ribbing refers to a pattern on any fabric that forms raised bands or ribs. We use this to manufacture some of the blouses that are available as part of our uniform ranges. This allows for a bit of detail on the uniform, making the wearer look stylish and professional, while still being comfortable. We offer ribbed blousing in a selection of colours, including navy, white, cream, black, red, mint, peach, and many more.
Cooltron is a fabric that we regularly use for our medical uniforms, due to its durability and stretch. This makes it a practical option for extra comfort. It also handles moisture effectively, allowing it to protect the wearer from exposure to fluids. It is comprised of 67% polyester and 33% cotton, which allows breathability to the wearer. This fabric is available in navy, pink, blue, white, black, green, and more.
Just like Cooltron, this fabric is extremely durable and allows for comfort and flexibility. With a different combination of fabrics, being 60% cotton and 40% polyester, Stretched Cooltron provides extra stretch and breathability to its wearer. Our colour options include beige, red, white and black.
Koshibo is a lightweight, tightly woven polyester fabric that has a slight sheen. Being lightweight, it is perfect for blouses, linings, or dresses. We use this fabric to manufacture upper-pieces for uniforms in the medical, corporate and hospitality industries. The fabric is made from 100% polyester, making it extremely easy to care for. We use Koshibo in a range of colours, including white, beige, purple, red, peach, and more.
Print Koshibo refers to the Koshibo fabric, with patterns printed on the fabric. This fabric is also made from 100% polyester, and we use it as part of our corporate, medical and hospitality uniforms, especially if the clients prefer printed fabric to standard fabric.
PVS is a blended fabric that we use to manufacture uniform designs in all our ranges. This blend results in a durable fabric, that is easy to clean and maintain. It consists of 65% polyester, 32% viscose and 3% elastane, and we have it available in various dark colours.
MST is a versatile fabric that we use as part of all our uniform ranges. It consists of 100% polyester, making it quick drying and easy to maintain. It is both stretch and wrinkle resistant, so your employees’ uniforms will look neat and tidy. The fabric is also resistant to most chemicals, making it perfect for use in the beauty and hospitality industries. We use various colours of MST to manufacture our designs, including navy, black, and white.
Melton is a tightly woven, versatile fabric that we use for some of our corporate and hospitality uniforms. The fabric is felted and heavily brushed, resulting in an extra soft touch to the skin. It is often used to manufacture jerseys, jackets, and dresses. The fabric consists of 83% polyester, 16% viscose and 1% spandex. We make use of navy, black, and charcoal Melton for our uniforms.
To keep your employees warm, polar fleece serves as the perfect fabric. We manufacture stylish, unisex polar fleece tops that look professional.
